Be Strong and Courageous

9 Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God[a] is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Just think we are not here by chance. God has chosen you for a special purpose to fulfill in this generation. The key is to live out the whispers that God has put in your heart. Fall into the work with resilience and let go of anything that would slow you down. Being focused on a few things that are poured into your heart and letting go of the rest is to live a life that is impactful in the world around you. God’s light comes from within. It is strong, vibrant, real and full of energy. You can make a difference in this world by loving others every single day. Our creator is kind, strong and compassionate. He is a perfect example to follow. Let us go and do likewise.

You do make a difference and are loved so much!

You and this day will never come around again. Make it the most wonderful existence filled with focus, hard work, rest for the day, renewal, laughter, prayer, listening to God, love, celebration and joy.

Sing, daughter of Zion! Shout, Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, daughter of Jerusalem. Zephaniah 3:14

Complacent

People will make their plans and will have good intentions but sometimes that is as far as it goes. I see it in January as a trainer when we have crowds of people making new years resolutions and then do not follow through. I know that in their hearts at the time they are sincere but many are not ready to make the commitment it takes to solidify their good intentions.

Revelation 3:15-16 says:

 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot. 16 So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth.

What in this life have you made a commitment to do for God? Do you have muscle behind your intention or is it just empty words blowing in the wind? We are to live our lives with purpose and intention. There is grace and love for the journey. The decision is yours every day what you will do with the convictions that have been put in your heart. We either live in that blessing or sit in lukewarm.

Let us move forward boldly and vibrantly into God’s plan for our lives with no retreat.

Confidence

being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6

It is mind boggling and wonderful to think about how God who made this earth is also intimately involved with all of creation. How do we wrap our brains around that? That and his unstoppable love are two of my favorite characteristics of him. We serve a wonderful God. He is bigger then the things going on in our life and yet knows our every thought and desire.

He is the beginning and the end. Our time is in his hands. Knowing this ignites the soul and draws out determination to finish the race well. Pursuing the narrow road is easier when we know who creates the path.

We are embraced, loved and set free to thrive!

You Are LOVED

4 All the earth will worship you,
and will sing to you;
they will sing to your name.” Selah Psalm 66:4

You belong to God and you are loved. Think on this today. There are millions of thoughts we can have each day but these two thoughts are profound and life changing.

We are children of the creator of everything. Our Father in heaven who loves you, created the stars, the trees, the oceans and everything in the earth and skies. He is all knowing, kind, compassionate, merciful, forgiving. He sees your struggles and triumphs. He sees your pain and heals you. He breathes fresh new life into you every day. His compassion never ends. He sees you. He knows even the number of hairs on your head. He is intimately involved in your life and even when you do not feel his presence he is there waiting for you to open your eyes.

God’s love is so huge we cannot even begin to wrap our brains around it. The promises and plans of mankind are pale compared to the vibrancy and energy of our living and loving God. You belong to God! You are loved!
