I remember a trip my parents had when they were heading south for the winter. They decided to take some side roads and just see where it took them. They actually found some amazing people and places to visit just by thinking outside the box on their trip.
This reminds me of our walk with God. If we logically plan every detail of our steps we could miss out on all God has planned for us. He may have a beautiful ocean or mountain in mind and we could just be stuck with the highway view.
God calls us to trust him and to practice having faith that he is in control of the unknown. His plans are beautiful, thriving, colorful and give us purpose. Trust the one who makes the road map and let him take you safely to your destination.

Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared, for today is holy to our Lord. Don’t be grieved, for the joy of Yahweh is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10
Amen! In such a crazy world – especially right now (last 23 months) – the need to control has been creeping up ever so slowly and sneakily. Practicing faith in the unknown (for a control freak) has been more crucial than ever. I’m thankful God never gives up on me. 💜
Good reminder!
